Is this for you?
See both lists below before you decide.
This course is for you if:
• You live with chronic or recurring pain — low back pain, fibromyalgia, chronic migraine, arthritis, or pain from an old injury that never fully resolved
• You've been told pain management means a prescription and not much else, and you want to understand what's actually happening in your nervous system
• You can't or don't want to rely on opioids long-term, or you're tapering down under a provider's care and want real tools to use alongside that
• You want to understand why pain can persist and even worsen long after tissue has healed, instead of just being told to "manage it"
This course isn't for you if:
• You're looking for a diagnosis or a treatment plan — this is education, not a substitute for your own provider
• Your pain is new, sudden, severe, or comes with red-flag symptoms like numbness, weakness, or loss of bladder or bowel control — please seek medical care first
Your Instructor
Family Nurse Practitioner & Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
I'm dual board-certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner — a combination that lets me look at chronic pain the way it actually shows up: as both a physical condition and a nervous-system one. I built this course after seeing the same pattern over and over in practice: patients dismissed, told it's "just stress" or "just aging," or handed a prescription and sent home with no real explanation of why pain persists or what they can do about it beyond medication. My goal here is to give you the pain-science understanding most people never get, real nervous-system regulation and counseling-derived tools that don't depend on opioids, and the advocacy skills to get taken seriously by your own care team.
What you get
• 6 audio-guided lessons (about 25–30 minutes total)
• A full companion workbook: Pain Pattern Tracker, Hurt vs. Harm Cheat Sheet, Care Team Advocacy Script, In-the-Moment Flare Regulation Menu, Non-Opioid Toolkit Reference Sheet, 90-Day Personal Plan Template, Pacing & Energy Budget Planner, and Terminology & Resources Glossary
• Lifetime access — revisit any module as your needs change
Important
This course is educational content created by a licensed nurse practitioner, not individualized medical care. Enrolling does not create a provider-patient relationship. It's designed to help you understand how chronic pain and the nervous system interact and apply general, evidence-informed, non-opioid strategies, and to help you have a more informed conversation with your own care team — it is not a substitute for a formal pain evaluation, medication guidance from your prescribing provider, or individualized treatment. If your pain is new, sudden, severe, or accompanied by red-flag symptoms (numbness, weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, fever, or pain after a significant injury), please seek medical care right away rather than relying on this course alone. This course does not provide individualized medication advice or recommend for or against any specific treatment, including opioids — always talk with your own prescriber about what's right for you.

No. Most of this course is about understanding how chronic pain and the nervous system work in general and applying strategies that help regardless of your specific diagnosis. That said, if your pain is new or you haven't been properly evaluated yet, getting a thorough workup should still come first.
Lifetime access. Chronic pain isn't something you solve once and move past — you can revisit any module, worksheet, or the workbook whenever your circumstances or symptoms change.
This course is designed to work alongside your existing care, not replace it. It gives you nervous-system regulation tools and a non-opioid toolkit you can use in addition to whatever your prescriber or specialist has already started — keep them in the loop on any changes.
Please seek medical care right away rather than relying on this course. If your pain is new, sudden, severe, or comes with red-flag symptoms — numbness, weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control, fever, or pain after a significant injury — that needs prompt medical evaluation, not a self-paced course.
